Discussion Lists for Printers

The PrintShare Discussion List

PrintShare is a discussion list primarily for owners and managers of printing businesses, but is open to anyone in printing -- whether you classify yourself as a commercial printer, quick printer, in-plant printer, owner, employee, broker, or vendor. Topics will vary widely -- whatever issues you'd like to discuss related to printing.

The PrintOwners Discussion List

PrintOwners is a discussion list specifically for owners of printing businesses. It's meant to provide a forum where issues of special interest to owners can be discussed.

ONLY printing business owners are invited to subscribe. For the purpose of list subscriptions:

  • We define an owner as a person with at least a 5 percent share of ownership in a printing company, with hiring/firing privileges, and complete access to the company's financial records.

Please Note: PrintOwners is a very active list; it is not uncommon to receive from 50 to 100 messages per day (or more). So it's imortant that you check your mail every day, especially if you use a provider that limits the amount of mail in your mailbox.

The PrintSales Discussion List

PrintSales is a discussion list specifically for individuals involved in selling printing -- especially salespersons and selling owners.

All Lists...

PrintShare, PrintOwners, and PrintSales are independent, unmoderated, unsponsored, and free discussion lists for printers. They are not anonymous lists -- you are expected to sign each message you post, with your real name, company name, and geographic area (city, state, country). Posting with a ficticious name (or no name at all) is grounds for being removed from the list(s) at the discretion of the List Manager. Please include your full name (personal name, not company) on the subscription request form when you subscribe.

Do not send file attachments to the list -- that's bad netiquette on almost any discussion list, and attachments to PrintShare, PrintOwners, and PrintSales are automatically removed.

Be sure to submit your message as plain text -- do not include HTML coding in your message. If you do, the HTML will be scrubbed and only the plain text will be forwarded to the list -- your message may look different than you expected.

For more complete guidelines and information, please visit our Netiquette Guide -- required reading for all PrintShare, PrintOwners and PrintSales subscribers.
